Has it been that long?

Well, my accountability partners are doing their job regarding my blog so here goes.

Friday we are going canoeing providing the weather is suitable. We are not sure where yet because our normal place is too far without the big bus. Hopefully, I will know by today.

Don’t forget our picnic this Sunday night. We will hopefully have a volleyball court and horseshoe pit set up. I will be in touch with the hostess of each group so you will know what to bring.

I will save some of my info so I have enough to log tomorrow.

Quail Creek

Don’t forget the men’s gathering at Quail Creek on June 16, if you golfer golfer then there is a tournament, the cost is only $40 and thatincludes food. If you don’t golfthen we will have food and fellowship later that evening. We also have a guest speaker lined up. Gary Knotts, who is former MLB player, wI’ll be speaking.

Also,don’t forget the men’s retreat in Tuscaloosa in July.

Parents we still need payments for camp.

 

College Seniors

If you have someone graduating college in your family that is a DBC memeber then please let me know ASAP.

Don’t forget the men’s golf tournament and cokkout on June 16 at Quail Creek. Gary Knotts will be our guest speaker. he is a former MLB pitcher.

Also, in July we will be going to the men’s conference in Tuscaloosa. Joe Gibbs, Rick Burgess, Kyle Idleman will all be speaking and Charles Billingsly will lead the music.

Prayer

Noah Brechtel is having surgery this morning on his foot. He had a bad golf cart wreck this weekend. Please remember his family in your prayers.

Mr. Hugh is not doing well. Please remember Joe, Mr. Hugh and their family.

Bro. Teddy is in Guatemala this week. Pray for their team to spread the name of Jesus!

Pray for our small groups this week and for our services tonight!

Refreshed

I am back from vacation and refreshed so I will attempt to blog twice this week.

Parents we need your next payment for student camp. I was not here to announce last week and it was due yesterday but that was not your fault. But, please get that to Susan Hensley as soon as possible.

Our small group was down last night. Our Sr. High boys are not showing up and our college was down last night. We still had a good discussion last night. One more week of this study, then we will be off until August. I need to know if you are willing to host or facilitate in August. We will assign a host and facilitator and you will be allowed to sign up under them, but the groups will be cut off at 8. We are trying to keep small groups and not have the same people in the same groups every time.

Sunday Night

This Sunday, Sylania(our small group hostess) will be out of town along with Lori and me. So, we are moving the youth and college small groups to the church for one week. Dustin will be presiding over the groups, so if you have any questions after Saturday(I lose cell service Saturday afternoon) then ask him. I have not decided on the food yet. If anyone would like to volunteer, this would be the week because we will be down in numbers.

If you did not get a Summer schedule for youth and college then let me know and I will get you one.

Men’s stuff

On June 16th, we will have a men’s golf day and gathering. If you do not play golf (like me) then you come later. Anthony has Gary Knotts, former MLB player, lined up to speak. It is at Quail Creek golf course. A day of fellowship!

Also, Phil Waldrep is having his Gridiron conference again the last weekend in July. We will take a group. Rick Burgess and Joe Gibbs are speaking this year and Charles Billinglsy is leading the music. Kyle Idleman is also going to be there and he is good. We will have a sign up for both this week.

I will have a Summer schedule for parents this Sunday regarding youth and college.
